Show Funeral Services Held Sunday For Pleasant Grove Citizen Funeral services were held Sunday, June 2, at 1 p. m. in the stake tabernacle taber-nacle for Oliver Christiansen, who died at the L. D. S. hospital Friday, May 31, following an operation for appendicitis. Joseph Olpin was in charge of the services, which opened with a vocal trio by Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Moffett and Ford Poulson. Invocation was given by W. L. Hayes. The following musical selection was a vocal solo by Elroy R. West accompanied by Mrs. West and Rcva West Fugal. The speakers were Patriarch S. L. Swenson and Mr. Mos-ley representing Liberty Stake of Salt Lake City, where the Christiansen family resided. A vocal trio by M'r. and Mrs. Moffct and Mr. Poulson was the concluding selection, after which A. P. Warnick pronounced the benediction. Interment was made in the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove cemetery, where J. W. Gillman dedicated the grave. Mr. Christiansen was born in Lin-don, Lin-don, November 15, 1896, and was educated edu-cated in the Pleasant Grove schools, graduating from the high school here. He distinguished himself in various school activities, especially In athletics. ath-letics. He is survived by his widow, Josephine Halliday Christiansen, four children, Margaret Nell, Anna Ruth, Betty and Billy Christiansen, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Christiansen Chris-tiansen and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Dean Park, Orem; Jbseph, Howard, Leiand and Verl Christiansen, all of Pleasant Grove, and Mrs. Louella Miller, American Fork. |
