Smith and , son, Keith, of Ogden and Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. John Kirk of Salt j Lake City were guests of Mrs. Lil-liian Lil-liian Brown on Sunday. Mrs. Hans Christensen entertained at a dinner party Monday evening ' in honor of Mrs. Leo Harvey of Pleasant Grove. It was Mrs. Har- f vey's birthday anniversary. Besides the guest of honor and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Christensen and their family were invited guests. Adamson spent Monday In Salt Lake City visiting her daughter, La Dean, who is attending the L. D. S. Business College. Miss Adamson has spent the last two years at the Brigham Young university. Dr. LeGrand Noyes of Hollywood, California, is here visiting his parents, par-ents, Dr. and Mi's. J. F. Noyes. Mr. and Mrs. Nate Anderson of Tooele, spent Sunday visiting friends and relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hallsey and daughter, Colleen, of Salt Lake City, visited here Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. James F. Hallsey. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Francom are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl born Monday, September 27. Mother and baby are doing fine. Mr. Sidney Nicholes is in Kansas City, Mo., this week having taken his lambs to the middle western market. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Duncan of Salt Lake were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Duncan. Mrs. Ina Murphey and daughter, Joe Ann, of Salt Lake are here visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Duncan. Mrs. Parley Austin entertained at a family dinner Monday in honor of her birthday anniversary. Mrs. Austin W. Bachelor. Mr. and Mrs. Foster Nicholes and family have returned to their home after spending two months out to the herd. Skaggs store in Salt Lake City. Mr. Hallsey has spent the past three years in the employ of the company. Floyd's friends here congratulate him on his success suc-cess in his work and wish him all the good luck possible. Mrs. Earl Holmstead entertained the Bee Orchis Club members at her home Thursday. The afternoon was spent playing bridge after which a delicious lunch was served. The rooms were beautifully decorated with garden flowers. Special guests included, Mrs. Jesse M. Walker, Mrs. Glen L. Taylor and her mother, Mrs. Allen Kerns of Gunnison. Bridge prizes were awarded. Mr. and Mrs. David Cahn entertained enter-tained at a "house warming" Thursday Thurs-day evening at their new home. Twelve class members were present. The M. I. A. Officers and Teachers Teach-ers of the Fourth ward sponsored n highly successful dance at the tab-I tab-I ernacle Tuesday night to which all wards of the stake were invited and well represented. A number of games had previously been arranged to entertain those attending and to act as mixers but the dances were so well participated In that the entire en-tire evening was given to dancing. High score club prize went to Mrs. Mac Bennett and the gurat prize was won by Mrs. Edna Meredith. A program In honor of the Gold Star Mothers was held last Sunday at the home of Mrs. Earl Barratt. The entertaining rooms were beautifully beauti-fully decorated with fall flowers. The program, In charge of Mrs. Hat-tie Hat-tie Iverson, was as follows: Opening Open-ing prayer Was offered by Mr.s. Hans Christensen, followed by an accord-lah accord-lah solo by Mrs. Donna Cleghorn. Mrs. Prlcllla Murdock then gave a tribute to the Gold Star Mothers. Mr.s. Ray Mouson sung "Teach me to Pray", followed by a short talk given by Mr.s. Ethel Grant, the district dis-trict president. Mrs." Amos Wagst-aTf and Mrs. Carl Anderson, the honored honor-ed guests, gave their appreciation for tin; auxiliary. A dainty lunch wa'i served to the fourteen present.
