Show Arthur S. Eskland Called by Death Arthur Hans Esklund, world war veteran, died at the Veterans hospital hospi-tal In Salt Lake Wednesday, Sep-! Sep-! tember 22nd, after a three day slay I there suffering from heart trouble, j Mr. Esklund has been an Invalid for many years, an after effect of his experiences in the war. Mr. Esklund was 54 years old, having hav-ing been born at Scipio, December 30, 1882, the son of Hans and Elizabeth Eliza-beth Martin Eskland. He has spent the years since the war at Salt Lake, Scipio and Pleasant Grove, having lived here a few years ago and returning re-turning here from Salt Lake a month ago. He has resided in the William Hayes home. Because of poor health he has not been able to work for several years. While serving in the World War he was a corporal in Company A, Twenty Fifth Batallion of the U. S. guards. Surviving are his widow, Mary Hartwell Esklund, and a son, Thea-dore, Thea-dore, and one daughter, Maureen, of Pleasant Grove; his mother of Scipio; three brothers, Walter and Dewey Esklund of Salt Lake, and Esdras Esklund of Magna; two sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Agnes Jensen of Salt Lake, and Mrs. Mildred Thompson of Scipio. |
