Show I MANILA 4-H CLUBS WIN HONOES AT FAIR A number of 4-H club members of the Manila ward were awarded prizes in the state fair during the week. The Home Science club exhibit ex-hibit won a place in the Blue Ribbon Rib-bon sections, exhibits being as follows: fol-lows: Scrap book, Katie Eves; Scrap book, Erma Atwood; canned emergency menu, Delia Radmall and Betty Grange. Erma Atwood won the Emergency menu with her canned tomato juice, chicken, corn, beans and dewherries. The Second Year Foods club were also in the blue ribbon class with their recipe files, posters and record rec-ord books. The Second Year Canning club won a blue ribbon in the Utah county demonstration contest, Leah Jean S'wenson and OMLelba Grange being be-ing winners. Delia Radmall won second place in the state for foods demonstration demonstra-tion and was named ;as alternate for a trip to Chicago. Miss Radmall Rad-mall won a. gold pin from the county. coun-ty. In the boys' club divjsiun the following fol-lowing wo"h places: Eldredge Warnick, War-nick, first place in grand champion 4-H club cow; Lee Warnick, second place in A grade calf; Paul .Adams, third place in A grade calf; ..Richard ..Rich-ard Swenson, junior yearling. Manila also won fourth place in competing in all dairy breeds. Leah Swenson and Melva Grange were guests at the Newhouse hotel, as two of seven delegates to the state fair. |
