Show l-ominont Citizen Summoned ly Death Yesterday James Uen.son Walker, 58, a prominent prom-inent citi.vn and church worker, died at his home in Plea -ant Grove at 6 o'clock. Thursilay morning. He suffered a paralytic stroke last Tuesday Tues-day and gradually grew worse until death came. He had been In failing fail-ing health for the past. year. In his passing the community mourns a beloved and re-spectod citi.vn. a prominent civic leader and church worker. Mr. Walker was born October 12, 1S7S In Pleasant Grove, the son of A. B. Walker and Jane Holman Walker and had made his home here all during his life. He was an active L. L). S. church worker, serving as bishop of the Pleasant Grove Third ward for 14 years. Kor six years he served as superintendent superintend-ent of the Alpine School District. He commenced working as representative repre-sentative for the MaeMillen Publishing Pub-lishing company in November, 1022 and wai still working in v this capacity ca-pacity at the time of his death. He I has served as representative for this company in Ari.vr.a. Montana. Utah ; and Idaho.
