Show Services Held Here For Alfred Steele Funeral services for William Alfred Al-fred Steele, 44, were held in the Fourth ward chapel Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Mr. Steele was born in American Fork, November 17, 1895, the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Steele. He married Leona Brown of Lehi and to this union eight children were born, seven daughters and one son. All survive except one son who died about two years ago. Mr. Steele was killed near Battle Bat-tle Mountain, Nevada, lSst Tuesday when the car in which he was riding rid-ing struck some loose gravel and turned- over. The Fourth ward chapel was filled fill-ed to capacity Sunday by friends and former neighbors of the Steele family. A large number of beautiful beauti-ful floral offerings also attested to the respect in which the family is held in this community. Services were .under the direction of Bishop John W. Pulley and the invocation was offered by Daniel Jorgenson. The opening song, a solo, "Beautiful Isle" was sung by Kenneth Robinson. Speakers were Leo Sheley, Bishop Nelson of the Salt Lake Seventeenth waru and Bishop Lot Robinson. Musical numbers for the services , were rendered by Miss Maxine Taylor, Tay-lor, who played a violin solo, "Perfect "Per-fect Day", accompanied at the piano by Cloe Friday; Miss Mildred Chip- j man, who sang a solo and was ac- ' companied by Miss Lois Greenwood, 1 and Bishop Hadfield of Lehi, who ' sang the closing song. The benediction was offered by i Lloyd B. Adamson. Interment was in the City cemetery where the grave was dedicated by President Schow of the Lehi stake. I o |
