Show Third Ward Dell Program Announced One of the most interesting programs pro-grams ever outlined for the annual dell outing has been prepared for the members of the Third ward who spent the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of August Au-gust at Mutual Dell. The members of the ward will leave for the can- yon at 6 o'clock Monday morning. Ball games and a nature hike under the direction of Leland Mitchell will furnish entertainment for the first morning. Contests and games will occupy the time during the afternoon. af-ternoon. In the evening a program will be presented and a bonfire enjoyed en-joyed at which time marshmallows will be toasted. The hour just before be-fore taps will be spent dancing. Tuesday will be ward day at the Dell for all the members of the Third ward. Special contests, games and a rousing ball game between the members of the Elders Quorum and the M Men will be staged. A treasure hunt will also be conducted during the afternoon. In the evening eve-ning an exceptionally fine program has been arranged and will be presented pre-sented in the new amphi-theatre. The program consists of stunts, musical and dance numbers and readings of various kinds: At 4 o'clock Wednesday morning all those interested will start on the Timp hike. The officers of the organization or-ganization request that all persons desiring to make the hike come prepared pre-pared and that all youngsters secure the permission of their parents. Anyone visiting in the canyon and desiring to eat in the Dell, other than those persons who are in the Mutual party, may due so by paying pay-ing a small fee for each meal. Tickets will be given to each person per-son who stays at the Dell or who eats in the Dell and a grand drawing draw-ing Tuesday night is to be held. The special program for Ward Night, Tuesday includes: Reading, Mrs. Mary E. Abel; violin solo, George Reimschiissel ; trombone duet, Evelyn' Peck and Lyle Tre-gaskis; Tre-gaskis; bugle echos, Cecil Ray Hanson Han-son and. Alva Goodall; saxaphone solo, Helen Chamberlain; mandolin music, Karl Bennett; ballet dancing by the students of Miss Lue Groes-beck; Groes-beck; solo, Little Lola Jean Wag-staff, Wag-staff, accompanied by LaDocia Wag-staff Wag-staff at the piano and Anna May Mitchell on the violin. The concluding con-cluding number on the program will be a hilarious stunt presented under the direction of Edna Shelley. A meeting for all those who are going to go up to the Dell with the M. I. A. has been set for 8 o'clock Friday night at the Third ward chapel. |
