Show Queen Selected In Close Contest After one cf the hottest and most interesting queen contests ever held in American Fork for the Poultry Day queenship, the contest closed Moriday night and the winners of the honors fcr Poultry Queen and Miss American Fork were decided. Miss Selma Seastrand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest J. Seastrand, was chosen to reign as Poultry-Turkey Poultry-Turkey Queen over the 1937 celebration, cele-bration, while Miss Donna Lue Davis, daughter cf Mr. and Mrs. David Davis, was tendered the honor of being Miss American Fork. The race was exceedingly close throughout. All cf the young ladies la-dies entered were members of the popular younger set in town. The six young ladies, with the highest number of votes at the count Friday Fri-day night rode on the float entered ty American Fork in the Salt Lake parade on the 24th. The young ladies were, Miss Donna Lue Davis, Miss Selma Seastrand, Miss Merele McKinney, Miss June Nash, Miss Zola Grant and Miss Virginia Holm-stead. Holm-stead. The girls were dressed in light summer pastels and grouped most effectively in the representative representa-tive blue sail boat float. This float was built for Miss American Fork for the Poultry Day parade. |
