Show City Receives Recognition at Salt Lake American Fork was well represented repre-sented on July 24th in the Salt Lake City Pioneer Day parade. The American Fork City band, under the direction of K. J. Bird took third i place in the band section, a district dis-trict honor for American Fork. There were some 20 bands from all over the state marching in the parade. The float entered by the A. W. Puley & Sons Feed Mill was awarded award-ed second place for the entire parade. pa-rade. The float was done entirely in gold and represented a pioneer family of the hand cart company. This company, whose float took first in the 24th of July parade last year, are to be congratulated on the loovely and artistic work which they combine so beautifully to make their attractive floats. |
