Show Native of Am. Fork Dies at Charleston Mrs. Edith Bate Turner, 51, wife ; of Joseph Turner, died at the family ' residence in Charleston Monday af- ternoon after a prolonged illness. ; Mrs. Turner was a native of this ' city, having been born here Septem-' Septem-' ber 11, 1882, a daughter of William ; and Hannah Shelley Bate. She spent ' her early youth here and the family ' later resided in Riverton and then ' moved to Charleston in 1898. She was married April 30, 1904, to Mr. Turner in the Salt Lake temple. She was a faithful member of the L. D. S. faith, for more than 30 years taught in the Sunday Schools and was a member of Wasatch Stake Sunday School board at the time of her death. Mrs. Turner also was actively engaged in Primary recreation work in her ward. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Wright Of Charleston, three grandchildren and . uie ionowing Dromers and sisters: Arthur Bate, Rigby, Idaho; John Bate, Brigham City; Mrs. Pearl Webster, Web-ster, Idaho Falls; Edward Bate, ! California; Mrs. Cora Billman, Vera, , Austin, Arnold, Glenn and Otis Bate of Idaho, and Rulon Bate of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were held in the Charleston ward chapel Friday last and interment was made in the cemetery there. A number of relatives rela-tives from this city attended the services. |
