Show i Missionary Honored Honor-ed With Social John Brown, who left Thursdaj night for the Swiss-German mission ( was honored at a farewell party in I the -basement of the tabernacle Wed-, Wed-, nesday. Mr. Brown has been at th J Mission Home in Salt Lake for the j past two weeks. He had as a spec ial guest at the party, Mr. Walker i of Boise, Idaho, who also left foi . the Eastern States to fill a mission A very interesting program was given as follows: "O Say What is . True" was sung by the congrega l tion, followed by prayer by Marius ; Madsen. Milton Brown played s 5 violin solo and John Brown spoke i of his desire to fill a good mission i followed by John Webb who told i of what is expected of a new man 1 in the mission field. A vocal trie ' Helen Ellison, Fern Robinson anc Mary Pulley, accompanied by Helen l Devey, sang a beautiful selection i followed by remarks by Mrs- Brown C Rulon Nicholes sang and Bishor ! Abe Greenwood spoke of the honoi 3 the ward felt in having a man in the mission field; the trio nexl sang a selection- The remainder ol the evening was spent in dancing The many friends of Mr. Brown wish him much success in his ne'w calling.
