Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walton left Wednesday Wed-nesday morning for a short trip through Yellowstone National park. Gamble Stores. adv Miss Selma Seastrand, Mrs. Jane Rsbinson and Eldon Miller spent Sunday in Salt Lake City visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Dean, and Miss Lillian Seastrand, who is employed in Salt Lake City. Grant Ingersoll and Clyde Thornton Thorn-ton returned home the first part of the week after a ten day trip to the East. Mr. Thornton reports that it was very hot most of the time. The crops in Iowa and eastern Nebraska Ne-braska look gcod and the farmers are beginning to harvest their grain. The western part of Nebraska Ne-braska is very dry and hot. The two men found it best to drive during dur-ing the early morning and late evening eve-ning and to rest in the parks during dur-ing the day. Mr. Thornton says that the parks in most of the cities are very beautiful and all of them except the ones in Lincoln. Nebraska, Ne-braska, did not have sprinkling systems sys-tems but depended upon the rainfall. rain-fall. At Lincoln they had an excellent ex-cellent watering system and a beautiful beau-tiful park. |
