Show Isaac Carlson Called By Death Isaac Carlson, 81 years of age, died very suddenly Monday evening, July 12, at 8:30 from a heart attack at-tack suffered at 8:00 p. m. His wife, Mary Anderson Carlson, died just one year ago on July 13th. He was highly respected in the community, having served in many I capacities in church and city. He was the last surviving member of the tabernacle building committee. He filled a mission to Sweden in 1896 and 1897. He lived in the United Order in the early days at Pleasant Grove. He acted for three years as president of the Y. M. M. I. A. and for many years as a Sunday Sun-day School teacher. He was born at Skorby, Sweden, March 9, 1856, the son of Caroline Caro-line Hansen Carlson, and came to Utah in July 1872, at the age of 16 years, living for a short time in American Fork. He' was married to his boyhood sweetheart, Mary Anderson, An-derson, on October 4, 1877, and has since made his home in Pleasant Grove. He was the father of ten children, chil-dren, four having preceded him in death. Surviving children are Isaac E. Carlson, Mary A. Jacobs and Ef-fie Ef-fie Aston of Pleasant Grove, Alvin, of Salt Lake City, Hyrum, of Charleston, and Ray, of Albion, Idaho. Ida-ho. Thirty-one grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one brother, broth-er, Jacob Carlson, of Murtaugh,, Idaho, also survive him. " |
