Show Crashed Plane Souvenir Display A most unusual display of some of the small parts of the Western Airline plane which crashed on Lone Peak is shown in the window of the Style Shop. The parts and small pieces were gathered and brought to American -Fork by State Patrolman Patrol-man Melvin Grant. Officer Grant reports that the body of the plane, which is gun-metal gun-metal in color, was mostly broken up into small pieces but has retained re-tained its original color and luster despite the months it has been exposed ex-posed to the snow and rain. In the collection is a large head light and a small seat light. The globe in the small light is intact. An ash tray from a seat of the plane is still as bright as it was when new. The upholstery on the arm rest and the pocket from the side of the seat are unworn. They are made of blue velour with spots of yellow and red which still show up very well. One piece of gunmetal shows the serial number of the upholstery up-holstery and finishing and gives direction di-rection for the care of the upholstery uphol-stery and woodwork. The leather from the scats is still in good condition, con-dition, scarcely showing any wear at all. o |
