Show Am. Fork Wins Second In Track Meet The American Fork senior high school won first honors in the Alpine Al-pine district track meet at Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove last Friday, .the Junior high loosing to Lincoln by one point. The girls track entrants tied with Pleasant Grove for third place. The district senior high results are: American Fork, 93 17-18; Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, 63 5-6; Lincoln, 56 1-9; Lehi, 8 1-18. There were five new records set up. Two of the most notable per- formances were Groesbecks ibi it. 2 in. throw in the javelin contest and Johnson's vault of 11 feet 10 inches. American Fork's scoring in each event is as follows: Javelin First and third places by Groesbeck and Nelson. 100 yard dash Second and third places by Hunter and McTague. 120 yard high hurdles Second and fifth places by Watkins and Harrington. Har-rington. Shot put Third and fourth places by Allen and Peters. Pole vault Hunter tied with John of Lincoln for first place: Bur- gess took fourth. High jump Second, third and fifth places by Groesbeck, Peters and McAllister. 880 yard run First, fourth and fifth by Gardner, Cordner and Reimschiissel. 220 yard dash Second and fourth by Hunter and Richards. Broad jump First and third by Gardner and Stokes. Discus Third and fifth by Deav- I itt and O-ropsheelr Mile run Second and fifth by Reimschiissel and Nielson. 440 yard run Fourth place by R. Nelson. 200 yard low hurdles First, third and fourth by Deavitt, Stokes and Healey. Medley relay American Fork, first.
