J The executive officers of the Timpanogos Stake Relief Society and the ward presidents held a business meeting in the stake offices Monday night to discuss plans for summer work. - The severe wind Tuesday night did a great deal of damage in different dif-ferent parts of the district. The Tithing barn at the Manila ward and the Matthews' barn were badly damaged. Many trees were blown down, others had large limbs broken and foilage badly whipped to pieces. Dr. B. C. Linebaugh attended the Jack Dew Rodeo at Mona Sunday Sun-day and he pronounced it one of the most outstanding rodeos he had ever seen. Dinkins, National Park engineers, engi-neers, who have been maping and making blue prints of Timpanogos Cave, Middle Cave and Hansen Cave for the past three months left Tuesday Tues-day for Zion's National Park at Springdale, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Clark will leave the last of the week for Chicago, Chi-cago, 111., to purchase a new car. They expect to visit eastern cities enroute. Ernest Smith, who has been teaching school at Kanab the past year came home Sunday for the summer vacation. He expects to return re-turn to the southern Utah town next year. Lloyd Gray was brought home Tuesday from the Provo hospital where he has been cared for with a broken leg. - Although still unable to get around he can be feared, for at home. Word was received by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hilton of. the arrival of their son, Barney, in Chicago. He is enroute with a group of elders, for Europe. His missionary labors will be in the Netherlands. Bernard Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Sanford Walker, arrived home the first of the week from Washington, D. C, where he has been attending college and has had remunerative employment. Mrs. E. M. Cragun entertained Saturday afternoon at a party in honor of the sixth birthday anniversary anniver-sary of her son, Dorlynn. Twelve small guests enjoyed out-of-door games and dainty refreshments. Elder Blaine F. Thorpe, a missionary mis-sionary companion of Elder W. The Misses Mary Jacobs, Venice Lundberg, Maxine Walker, Dorothy Mayhew and Melba Harris entertained enter-tained at a shower Monday afternoon after-noon at the Jacobs home in honor of Miss Clestia Gillman, who will wed Bill Beal on May 28 at Las Vegas, Nevada.
