Show American Legion ElectsOfficers The annual election of officers of the American Legion was held in the City Hall Tuesday night, November Novem-ber 23. After hearing reports from committees on membership the following fol-lowing men were selected to head the local post for the year 1934; Commander, J. J. Mercer Jr , Ad-justant, Ad-justant, J. E. Bennett, First Vice-Commander, Vice-Commander, Hans Laursen; Second Vice Commander, John Robinson; Sargeant-at-Arms, L. c. Iverson-Chaplain, Iverson-Chaplain, Delbert Chipman; Publicity Publi-city Officer, James O. Meeks. Following the election of officers the remaining time was spent in discussing dis-cussing the status of ex-service men in the national employment program, pro-gram, the new hall which the Legion hopes to obtain within the near future, fu-ture, post activities and other topics of interest to Legion members.
