This is sometimes due to the fact that children arise early to catch a school bus, and will not take the time to eat a good breakfast. break-fast. The Domestic Science department, depart-ment, under the direction of Miss Emily Wright, and her students are serving a lunch at noon each day at a very nominal cost. Some of the things served are hot chili five cents; hot soup, five cents, potato po-tato salad, five cents, filk, two and a half cents per glass, etc. Of course the menu is changed each day so that foods will be tempting. Many of the students bring sand-witches sand-witches and other things then supplement sup-plement them with a hot dish from the Domestic Science kitchen. Miss Wright is trying to have girls prepare the food practically at cost and give the students good appetizinz dishes. |
