Show Mrs. Rudolph Konold Dies Suddenly Sud-denly from Stroke Funeral services for Mary I. W. Bone Konold, wife of Rudolph Konold, Ko-nold, were held in the Fourth ward J chapel Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Konold, who died Saturday morning at her home of a paralytic stroke, I was born June 3, 1863, in Ontario, Canada, a daughter of Edwin and Mary Tucker Bone. She married Rudolph Konold October 21, 1885, and they celebrated their Golden ! Wedding anniversary in 1935. Mrs. Konold was an active member of the Presbyterian church and the Ladies Aid of the Community Church. She was a founder and a charter member mem-ber of the G. A. Club. She had lived liv-ed in American Fork for the past 12 years and had lived in Utah for about 42 years. The large attendance at the fun- eral and the many beautiful floral offerings attested to the high esteem and respect in which this family is held by the community. The services ser-vices were in charge of Bishop John Pulley and the opening song, a solo "My Task" was sung by LaRue Morton Mor-ton following which R. W. Clark offered of-fered the invocation. The speakers for the occasion were the Reverend Arthur; Bishop Storrs, who spoke of the Konolds as he had known them some 45 years ago when they were living in Springville; and President Clifford Young. Further musical numbers were furnished by LaRue Morton and Kenneth Robinson, who sang a duet "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and Rulon Nicholes who sang "A Perfect Day". Ann Hansen was accompaniest for all of the musical numbers. Bishop Pulley made a few closing remarks, after which Lot Robinson offered the benediction. Interment was made in the American Fork City cemetery where John W. Pulley dedicated ded-icated the grave. Active pallbearers were: Lot Robinson, Rob-inson, Albert Tregaskis, J. L. Mower, R. W. Clark, W. J. Chadwick and Rulon Nicholes, honorary pallbearers pallbear-ers were: Will Chipman, W. S. Storrs, David Conder, Stephen T. Shelley, George F. Shelley, Martin Nielsen and H. E. McNeill. Mrs. Konold was the mother of eight children, five of whom besides her husband survive her. The children chil-dren are: Alfred E. and Elbert R. Konold of Salt Lake City, Frank W. Konold of San Francisco; Blanche K. Hoffman of Denver, and Ira H. Konold of American Fork. Thirteen Thir-teen grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jane Hooper of Ontario, Canada, and one brother, William Bone, of Breads-ley, Breads-ley, Minn., also survive. Her brother, broth-er, whom she had not seen for about 25 years, was visiting in . American Fork at the time of her death. o |
