Show Services Held For John Sagers Funeral services for John Alma Sager, who died last Tuesday, were held in the Second ward chapel Saturday Sat-urday with Bishop Joseph Storrs in charge. The large attendance bespoke be-spoke the esteem in which Mr. Sager Sa-ger and his family are held by the people of the community. The services ser-vices were opened by the mixed chorus of the Second ward singing "Jesus, Lover of My Soul." Eli I J. Clayson offered the opening prayer. pray-er. The speakers, Earl S. Greenwood, Green-wood, Joseph K. Nicholes of Provo and Clifford E. Young spoke many words of comfort to the family and testified to the fine character of Mr. Sager. A vocal solo, "In My Father's House There are Many Mansions" was rendered by Rulon Nicholes. Bishop Storrs made a few closing remarks and the mixed chorus sang "Abide With Me," after which Ottis Braunt offered the closing prayer, j Interment was made in the city j cemetery, where Victor Nicholes ded-1 icated the grave. . Surviving Mr. Sager besides his widow are two sons, John Elmo Sager, Sa-ger, Mid vale; Ferron Sager, Pay-son; Pay-son; two daughters, Amanda Sager Simms, Westwood, Calif.; and Barbara Bar-bara Sager, American Fork; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Matny Winn, Logan ville, Nevada; Mrs. Kate Shelton, American Fork; two half-brothers, Rulon H. Sager and Bert Sager, and one half-sister, Mrs. Laura Spratley, all of American Amer-ican Fork. |
