Show Mrs. Emily Foster left yesterday for an extended trip to the Pacific Northwest and down the coast to Long Beach where she plans to visit with her daughter, Mrs. G. W. Con-ley. home of Mrs. Nelson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cy Bennett, of American Fork. The mother was formerly Miss Mary Bennett. Mr. Nelson is in Jackson, Wyoming, playing with an orchestra and will be gone for about six weeks. A quilting bee was held by the First ward Relief Society at their meeting Tuesday. After a busy day of sewing the ladies were served tasty refreshments. Mrs. Sadie Bromley and daughter, Clarice, and Miss Edna Draper of Provo, visited at Mutual Dell last week during the four days the First ward stayed in the canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Turnbow, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Reed, and Mr. and Mrs. H. I. Eskelson of Salt Lake City, were guests last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dur- rant. The Second ward Relief Society met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. S. L. Chipman. The Sunshine committee com-mittee was in charge of the program which consisted of musical numbers by Mildred Chipman, accompanied by Naomi Halliday and the story of her trip to the Hawaiian Islands told by Mrs. Clifford E. Young. There were 45 present. o Am. Fork Locals Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Hupp of Los Angeles, are guests at the home of Mrs. Hupp's aunt, Mrs. George E. Robinson, and family. Mr. -and Mrs. Lewellyn Pratt and family left Monday for their home in Los Angeles, after visitine friends and relatives in American Fork for the past two weeks. Mrs. Leo Roberts of Rigby, Idaho, returned home Monday after visiting visit-ing for the past three weeks here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vem Walker. |
