Thursday afternoon of last week the two small sons of Mr. and Mrs. '$ John Whitby, Calvin and Melborne, were painfully injured when they attempted to get off a truck while it was going. The boys had been watching the toeshing machine on I the dry farm not far from theiri home and climbed onto the truck which was hauling the grain to the grainery to ride home. When the ; driver ot the truck failed to stop at ; their home the boys, who were get-: get-: ting ready to get off fell off into the road They were picked up immediately immed-iately and taken to the doctor where they were given medical aid. Calvin, the least seriously injured, is able to be about and his brother is improv-1 ing. Former Bishop J. W. Vance, who has been at a Salt Lake hospital for several weeks is at his home here where he is improving slowly. Miss Clara Healey of Mt. Carmel returned to her home Tuesday after visiting for ten days with relatives here and in American Fork. |
