Show J Pleasant Grove Locals Alex Gray is at Grace Idaho, this week attending a Gray family reunion. re-union. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gray and Alex Gray attended the funeral of relatives rela-tives at Richfield, Sunday. Mrs. Amy Brown Lyman of Salt Lake Oity was the guest of her sister, Mrs. Rose B. Hayes, Tuesday. Mrs. Amelia Simmons and Mr. and Mrs. Bed an Simmons of Draper, were guests Wednesday with Dr. and Mrs. C. O. Jensen and family. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Zabriskie announce an-nounce the birth of a baby girl Monday Mon-day afternoon. All concerned are doing nicely. Mrs. Vida Conway and family will spend next week in Salina canyon visiting with their husband and father, fath-er, Jack Conway. Mrs. Ed Hillman and children of Mammoth, is visiting indefinitely with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Poulson, and other relatives here. Grant Anderson, son of Dr. and Mrs. G. Y. Anderson visited the past week in Provo with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Hales. Miss Jean Anderson spent the past week in Ogden visiting with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. David J. Wilson and family. Mrs. J. R. Halliday has been the guest of her son, John R. Halliday Jr., at Aspen Grove during the past week. John is one of the instructors of the B. Y. U. summer school. Thorne made a business trip to Duchesne Tuesday. Mrs. George Ball is ill at her home suffering writh nervous trouble. She is reported to be improving. Mrs. Thomas Fenton entertained the Mothers club at her home Thursday Thurs-day evening. Archie Boren, who recently underwent under-went an operation at the L. D. S. hospital returned home Friday. Mrs. R. W. Bond and two small sons of Washington, D. C, are visiting visit-ing indefinitely with Mrs. Bond's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Bullock. Mrs. Lavina Fugal was in Salt Lake City Wednesday to attend a meeting of the Home and Community Commu-nity committee. Mr. and Mrs. William Daybell of Charleston, were guests Saturday of their daughter, Mrs. Archie Boren and family. Mr. and Mrs. Luzell Smith of Buckeye, Arizona, were guests part of last week with Mrs. Smith's mother, moth-er, Mrs. D. M. Smith, and other relatives rela-tives here. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Peterson returned re-turned home Thursday, August 8, from a week's camping trip at Granddaddy Lakes. They report a very worth while trip. Mrs. Maurine Bullock Joseph and two children of Panguitch, Utah, has been visiting the past week with Mrs. Joseph's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Bullock, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Nelson and baby returned Tuesday from California Cali-fornia where they hfive resided the past year. Mr. Nelson will be employed em-ployed on the John Larson farm at Vineyard. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cooper and family are enjoying a trip through Yellowstone park. R. F. D. Carrier Clarence Hilton is carrying the mail during Mr. Cooper's absence. Ben Holman has been seriously ill for the past fivg weeks with sciatic rheumatism and other complications. com-plications. He is reported to be slowly improving in health. Ervine F. Smith of .this city and Ruth Peterson of Logan, will be married mar-ried at Logan Sunday, August 18th. They will make their home in Provo, where Mr. Smith will be employed the coming winter. Miss Gwen West, who has been j employed in Ogden for several months, is visiting with her mother, Mrs. Ethel West. Mrs. Gennieve Jarvis of Salt Lake City, a sister of Mrs. West, is also a guest at the West home. The Holman family will hold their annual reunion at Como, Springs in Morgan, August 20, 21 and 22. All descendants and their friends in this vicinity are invited to camp the three days and visit together. Miss Arvilla Clark and Miss Sue Grua returned the last of the week from a trip to Chicago and other j eastern points. Miss Clark purchas-! ed a car at Flint, Michigan, and I they motored home together. j Mrs. Howard Nelson is at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cy Bennett, in American Fork, with a fine baby boy. Smith of this city on August 18. Anna Beth Larson, Mariam Adam-son, Adam-son, Verna Day, Laurel Hatch, Anna An-na Boren, enjoyed a swimming party and lunch at Geneva last Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon. They attended the dance at Geneva at night and had a slumber party at the Boren home, remaining for breakfast Thursday morning. , Mrs. H. V. Swenson entertained at a children's party Tuesday afternoon in honor of her daughter Leah Jean's 11th birthday. The afternoon wras spent in outdoor games including a treasure hunt. Dainty refreshments were served to the following young folks: Leah Wadley, Max and Carl Edwards, Lyle Beth Atwood, Don and Boyd Southwick, Elsie Ellis, Leda Park, Paul Adams, Lee Warnick, Dudley West Eldredge Warnick and Ralph Swenson. The Relief Society of the Second ward entertained at a Sunshine party Wednesday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Lawerence Peterson. The afternoon was spent in a program and social chat. Refreshments were served. Fifteen ladies were present. Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Kemp, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Williamson and Mr. and Mrs. James D. Thorne attended the Utah State Firemens convention at Heber Thursday and Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Williamson remained for the Saturday's tournament. Mrs. Nora Peterson was released recently as chairman of the Sunshine Sun-shine committee of the Seccnd ward Relief Society. The following new organization was effected.
