' , 4. ;. , S : is A Pleasant Grove Junior Jazz team took honors in the State playoffs play-offs in Salt Lake City. The Pleasant Grove Celtics team took Second Place in the State Championship held April 7 and 14 at the Salt Palace. In the semi-finals, the 13 and 14 year old girls team, played a team from Fillmore and won, then they placed a team from Layton, they lost the gamebut took second place. The girls were invited to the Jazz vs. Rockets game and were presented trophies at half time. This team was undefeated in both league and district play with a record of 17-0, prior to the championship champi-onship game. There were 2,700 girls who participated par-ticipated in this p7 0Tam in the state. The coaches are proud of the girls and would like to express appreciation to the parents of the girls for all their support.
