P.G. Future Homemakers of America choose Youngs as Family of the Year The Pleasant Grove High School Future Homemakers of America have chosen a family of the year. The family must display many of the goals of the Future Homemaker's of America. The family that has been chosen is the Dell and Vicki Young family. The family will be honored at the FHA Banquet which is tobeheld on May 9 for all FHA members. Dell Young is a seminary teacher at PG High School, Vicki is very active in the PTAprogram and will serve as the Council President next year. Shaun 20, is now serving a full-tim- e mission in Hong Kong. KyLee 18, is attending Snow College. She received a scholarship through FHA and traveled to Ja-pan the summer ofher Senior year. She was also the homemaking Sterling Scholar. Roneen 16, is a cheerleader at Pleasant Grove High and is also FHA's sophomore president. Mykell is 13 and very active in the Jr. Jazz. She is an 8th grade cheerleader at the Jr. High. Quin 10, loves to play all sports. He is in the fourth grade. Dayne 7, also loves to partici-pate in all sports. He is in the first grade. Congratulations to the Young family. FFA judging winners are congratulated by, left, advisor Brian Evans, and right, Prin-cipal Bill Delaney. Team winners are, L-- Shelia Blackhurst, Rebecca Evans, Clint Lindstrom, Shawna Blackhurst and Jennifer Fordham. FFA dairy foods team takes first place On April 18 and 19 the Pleasant Grove FFA went to BYU to partici-pate in judging contests. The Dairy Foods team took first place, with Shelia Blackhurst as third high individual and Clint Lindstrom as high individual. Clint also received a scholarship for being the high individual in the contest. The Dairy Foods team included Shelia Blackhurst, Rebecca Evans, Clint Lindstrom, Shawna Blackhurst, and Jennifer Fordham. The Poultry team took second place with Ryan Wilcox taking second place as high individual. The team included Ryan Wilcox, Travis Eggett and Brian Williams. The judging teams will be trav eling to Logan to participate at the State Judging Contest on May 11 and 12. The annual parent and member banquet will be held on May 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Manila Elementary. The public is invited to attend.
