Agency Modeling School. For her talent she will perform a modernjazz dance number. She has a flair for designing her own clothes, interior decorating, and caring for house plants. Andrea Adams A 1989 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School is Andrea Adams, 18-year-old daughter of Benny and Karen Adams. She has had training in dance and gymnastics and will dance for the talent portion of the queen pageant. She has been active in dance, cheerleading, and basketball basket-ball while in high school. She was chosen "Most Outstanding Dancer and Choreographer, Who's Who Among American High School Students." Stu-dents." Hiking, water skiing, and kite flying are the special interests of Andrea. She plans to attend BYU and medical school, eventually to obtain ob-tain a degree in psychiatry. She also wants to be a successful wife and mother. Judges This year's judges are a husbandwife hus-bandwife team, Joseph Patrick Thompson and his wife, Marianne Bales Thompson, a former Miss Utah. She held the crown in 1986-87 1986-87 and represented Utah in the Miss American Pageant at Atlantic City. She has had extensive training in dance and modeling. Mr. Thompson is a professional entertainer with Gene Patrick Productions of Maryland. He has also spent considerable time with Lagoon Entertainment. He toured Europe with a USO group as a singer and dancer. He is also a professional hair designer. leader for two years, and achieved presidency recognition in the LDS Seminary. She had three years of dance experience, participated in debate, and was on the air with KPGR for one year. She also worked on the newspaper and yearbook staffs. Her plans for the future include a four-year degree with emphasis on business or social work. Her hobbies include wilderness camping, snow skiing, horse back riding, and swimming. Tammy Vincent Tammy has been busy during her years at Pleasant Grove High School. She was nominated for Who's Who Among American High School Students, FHA President and Historian for two years. She was a cheerleader during her junior jun-ior and senior years, and has studied stud-ied gymnastics for five years. Her special talent lies in music and she will present a piano solo at the pageant. Shehashad four years of piano instruction. She likes to ski, both on water and on snow, loves to sew, and play tennis. She has served as president of her MIAMaid and Laurel classes in the LDS church. Her plans for the future include further education to become an executive secretary and eventually to marry and have a family. Tammy is the beautiful redheaded red-headed daughter of Clair and Linda Vincent of Pleasant Grove. Sharlynn Olsen Sharlynn is a junior at Pleasant Grove High School and daughter of DeWayne and Leona Olsen who would someday like to attend San Diego State University to become a Marine Biologist. Her ambition is to work with dolphins. She would also like to go to Africa for a year after attaining her degree. Her hobbies include dancing, water skiing, and sports (especially (espe-cially basketball), and modeling. She is a graduate of McCarty She works as a program director and official in the Intramurals. She is a member of Snow College Volley Team and Softball team and holds first place on the intramurals five on five basketball team. Heather is a "sports nut," which began at Pleasant Grove High School. She was the Valuable Player on the JV Volleyball team, best setter on JV and Varsity volleyball vol-leyball teams, setter on State Championship team, and named to all-region and all-state teams in her senior year. She also served as Assembly Vice President on the PGHS 1987-88 1987-88 Student Council. She had three years of dance in high school, two years drama training, clarinet and piano lessons, and some ballet. For her talent offering she will present a dramatic interpretation. Her hobbies include needlework and teaching fundamentals of good sportsmanship and skills to young people. She holds a weekend job at V&S Variety in Pleasant Grove and feels a strong sense of community involvement. She would be happy to make her permanent home in Pleasant Grove. Monica Hall Monica is the 18-year-old daughter of Marlin and Melanie Hall of Pleasant Grove. She will graduate from high school in May. She will present a vocal solo for her talent display at the pageant. She has had five years of vocal training. She was chosen "Most Willingto Help" in high school, was a cheer ed !- rf" ' .
