Regional Ballet prepares for 'Coppelia' Fri. & Sat. Utah Regional Ballet is making preparations for a new Fall Season featuring "Coppelia," a romantic tomedy performed in classical ballet bal-let style. 'Coppelia" is one of Utah audiences audi-ences favorites. The three act promotion pro-motion boasts a fine cast of tal-i tal-i ented Guest Artists to augment the exceptionally talented young company. Jiang Qui, presently principal Jancer with Ballet West, formerly of Joffrey Ballet and the Central Dance Company of Chine, will perform the leading role of Franz. Joining Qi will be Michael On-stad, On-stad, former Principal with Ballet West, to play the character role of Dr. Coppelius. Onstad has received wide acclaim for his interpretation of this role. "These fine artists will add a great deal to our production, as well as give our company the opportunity op-portunity to work with professionals profession-als in the field of ballet. We are very fortunate to have them," states Jacqueline Colledge, artistic director direc-tor of the company. Performances will be held Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Timpview High School Theatre.
