Show Drug Awareness Week held at jr. high ' The Pleasant Grove Junior High School is participating in the statewide state-wide Drug Awareness Program with their Red-Ribbon Week. This is a chance for students to wear red-ribbons which say, "It's Hot to Not" and promise to stay drug free. It's a good time for parents to take the opportunity to implement this program by talking to their kids about the dangers of using drugs. The program will continue from Oct. 23 to Oct. 27. On Oct. 27 the PTA will be sponsoring spon-soring the Fall Party at the school. There will be a dance, a cake walk, miniature gold, "Bingo", lots of food, drinks and treats. This is a fundraising event so there will be a small charge for the activities. The party will take place right after school so that students have Jje choice of participating or not." The PTA encourages everyone to, stay and have fun. .., Magic ropes will also be sold'' These glow in the dark and are U as well as safety oriented. PTA President Roylene Weight, 1 would like to thank everyone for' their support in the membership' drive and the book fair. Both have, been a tremendous success. I |
