Show Halloween safety tips Avoid costumes that obstruct vision, and use reflective tape on costumes and bags so children can be seen at night. Accompany young children and permit older children to go out only if in groups. Restrict trick -or-treat visits to only familiar households. Keep only the treats that are in the original, unopened wrappers and discard all others. Beware of drugs that can resemble candy. Don't allow unexamined candy to be eaten enroute. Have children bring some from home for snacking purposes. Non-food items, such as stickers or crayons, make good trick-or-treat gifts. |
