He was born Aug. 7, 1912 in Sunnyside, a son of John I. Sr. and Elizabeth Ramage Evans. He married Ida Louise Carlson April 11, 1936 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a coal miner for 20 years, a car-penter and was em-ployed as a custodian and plumber's helper for the Alpine School District for 17 years. Albert L eland Fillmore, father of J;inice Fillmore Brady (Mrs. Morris J. Brady), American Fork, died Feb. 2, 1988 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo of causes in-cident to age. He was 88. A long-tim- e resident of Spanish Fork, Mr. Fillmore had lived with the Bradys since the passing of his wife, Clara, two years ago. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork 3rd Ward, 585 N. Main. Viewing born in payson to William Michael and Catherine Gordon Fillmore on Nov. 16, 1899. He is survived by Mrs. Brady; a son, Leland Reid Fillmore, Draper; four sisters: Iverne Wallace, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ralph (Edith) Miller, Nephi; Mrs. Roland (Lois) Davidson, Payette, Idaho; and Kathryn Cole, Boise, Idaho; 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. He served as a Seventy and had served a stake mission. He was a former scoutmaster. Linda McMichae Hammond, 45 of Lin don, died Sunday January 31, 1988 in Salt Lake City. She was born July 17, 1942 in Tooele Utah to R.T. and Dean Jacobsen McMichael. She married Jay K. Hammond June 19, 1957 in Grantsville. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church having served in presidencies and as a teacher in all of the auxiliaries. She enjoyed singing and was a member of Sweet Adelines. Bountiful sons and three daughters: Robyn Hammond, Jon Hammond, Joey Hammond, all of Lindon; Mrs. Jeff (Julie) Madsen, Salt Lake City; Michael Hammond and Jennifer Hammond, Encinitas, California; Jeff Hammond, Las Vegas, Nevada; two grand-children; her mother of Provo; a sister: Pat Acker, Ft. He was born Oct. 29, 1930 in Boone, Iowa to John William and Agnes M. Carpenter Clark. He married Betty Irene Bagley April 20, 1949 in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church, living in the Lindon 6th Ward. He held the office of High Priest. He had been em-ployed at Geneva Steel, retiring in 1986. Br was in the Oremci Cemetery. . a 1 ss yff' ' Judd Roy Jones, 7', died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1988 in the American Fork Hospital as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Sept. 13, 1981 in American Fork to Douglas J. and Denese Elizabeth Bullock Jones. He was attending the first grade at Sego Lily Elementary School in Lehi. He enjoyed riding his scooter. Survivors include his parents, two brothers and one sister: Jetta, Jason and Jay, all Lehi; grandparents: Reed and Kathy Bullock, Mrs. Verda Jones, all Lehi; Nyle and Reta Jones, American Fork; great grandmother: Augusta Currie, Lehi. Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 29, in Jim MacNaughton; and Reed and Kathy Bullock. Musical numbers included a chorus by a CTR-- class, "Teach Me To Walk in the Light" and "Families are Forever," directed by Cathy Frederick and accompanied by Mary Carter; and a vocal duet of "I Am a Child of God" by Jetta Jones and Shelley Baxter, ac-companied by Shiela Redmond. The benediction was offered by Dave Taylor and Gary Hardman dedicated the grave at the Lehi City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jason Jones, Brent Gordon, Reed South-wic- h and Joe Bullock. Honorary pallbearers were Travis Baxter, Josh Bullock and Josh Frampton. a con-tractor and cabinet maker. He had served in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife of Lindon; two the Lehi North Stake Center, with Bishop Wayne Edwards of-ficiating. Shiela Redmond played the prelude and postlude. The family prayer was offered by Reed Bullock. Mark Quilter gave the in-vocation. Speakers included Bishop Edwards; Jason Jones, who gave the biographical sketch; Lester E. Ottesen, age 84, died Sunday, January 31, 1988 at his home in Springville of causes incident to age. He was born Nov. 6, 1903 in Spanish Fork, to Erustus and Matilda Huff Ottesen. He married Ina Larsen Aug. 14, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in July of 1984. He was raised and attended schools in Spanish Fork, graduating from Spanish Fork High. While in elementary school, he had two double promotions. He continued his education at the Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago and had practiced dentistry in Springville for 54 years. He was a member and past secretary and president of the Central Utah He and his wife were ordinance workers in the Provo LDS Temple for six years. He was active in Scouting and photography. He is survived by three sons and one daughter: Keith Ot-tesen of American Fork; Dr. Sterling Ottesen, Dr. Jim Ot-tesen, and Mrs. Fred (Karen) Hoopes, all of Los Angeles; 21 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Thursday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. in the Springville 8th - 10th Ward Chapel, 355 East Center. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 South, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. or Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork Cemetery. David Austin Dental Association, and was a member of the American and Utah Dental Associations. He had also served on the Ethics and Membership Committee for the Utah State Dental Association. He was a member of the LDS Church, where he had served as elders quorum president, Sunday School president, and had served in the bishopric. Wilbur H. Jubeck David Austin, 78, of Nephi, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1988 at the Central Valley Medical "Center, Nephi. He was born Dec. 29, 1909 in Lehi to Parley P. and Rose Broadhead Austin. He married Georgia LaVon Francom Aug. 17, 1934 in Lehi. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a building contractor in Nephi. He was a member of the Nephi 5th Ward. He sang in the choir and played the banjo. Survivors include his wife of Nephi; two daughters: Mary Randle, Grantsville; Margaret Hawkins, Payson; a sister, Alta Chipman, American Fork; brothers: Cliff Austin and Bill Ak: both of American Fo? 10 grandchildren; j great grandchildren.!; was preceded in fc: by two sons, Karl Da,; and George Cla:, Austin. Marlow Call Tolman Wilbur Howard Jubeck, age 64, died Jan. 29, 1988 in a Salt Lake City hospital following complications from heart surgery. He was born April 6, 1923 in Garfield Township, Iowa to Joseph and Pearl Walker Jubeck. He married Daisey Alterna Hall July 7, 1944 in Louisville, Ky. She died May 9, 1983. He lived most of his life in Sterling, Colo, and moved to Lehi four years ago. He was a veteran of World War II, serving pany and later also worked for a taxi-ca- b company in Sterling. He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 16 years, where he retired. He was an active member of the American Legion in Colorado. He is survived by one son, Allen Jubeck, Lehi; eight grand-children. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 1, in the 1st Christian Church of Sterling, Colo. He was born June 10, 1931 in Midvale, Utah to Newell H. and Dora Call Tolman. He married Jinx Davis on February 6, 1952 in the St. George LDS Tem-ple. He was an active member of the LDS Church, living in the Lindon Fourth Ward holding the office of High Priest. He had been active in youth programs of the Church and community. He had been as a con-struction lather. He had served in the Cameron Tolman, Provo; Kyle Tolman, Seaside, California; four grandsons; three brothers: Don Tolman, Anaheim, California; Lynn Tolman, Pleasant Grove; Wayne Tolman, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Lindon Fourth Ward, 700 East Center. Friends may call at Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 South at 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Thursday from 7:30 to 9 p.m., or at the church Friday one hour prior to services. Smith, 20, of Pleasant Grove, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1988 in a Carbon County in-dustrial accident. He was born Nov. 13, 1967 in Provo to James W. and DeAnn Hardy Smith. He married Candice Farley Feb. 1. 1986 in Pleasant Grove. He was a member of the LDS Church. He had attended schools in Pleasant Grove. He was em-ployed at Savage Coal Service in Wellington. He enjoyed skiing and enjoyed playing the drums. Grove; four brothers and two sisters: Michael Q. Dickey, Arizona; Mark A. Dickey, Maryland; Michelle R. Evans, Orem; Julie S. DeBell Margaret Davis DeBell, 81, of American Fork, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1988 in American Fork. She was born April 26, 1905 in Cold Water, Mich., to Mr. and Mrs. George Davis. She married Felix Henry DeBell March 13, 1950 in Kansas City, Kansas. Survivors include her husband of American Fork; one stepson and two daughters: George A. DeBell, American Fork; Cecillia and Marylynn, New Hampshire; eight grandchildren. Graveside services were held Friday, Jan. 29. at the American Fork City Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, one daughter: Cassie JoAnn Smith, Pleasant Grove; his parents of Pleasant Citizen, Press.
