Pleasant Grove, has been accepted for membership in the United States Collegiate Wind Band, a highly selective musical organization which will make a concert tour of England and seven European countries next July and August. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kimball. He plays trombone in the local Pleasant Grove High School Band conducted by David Fullmer. The United States Collegiate Wind Band will travel for three weeks in Eng'a 'alv Holland and Swit-Austn-zerland. Davis has received a promotion as Northwest Pipeline Corporation Marketing Representative. He is a graduate of the Pleasant Grove High School and joined the company in 1978 in Salt Lake City after finishing work on a Bachelors Degree in finance at Utah State University. John has been a Senior Land Representative for nine years, involved mostly with the right-of-wa- y end of the Northwest System. He transferred to field locations at Grand Junction, Colorado, Vernal, Utah and Green River, Wyoming before coming back to headquarters at Salt Lake City and his new position. John is the son of Orvil B. and Maxine Davis of Lindon. He married Vicki Kohler and they have four daughters, Misty, Lind- - say, Stephanie and Michelle. John Davis They reside in Sandy, Utah. McDonald, son of Joan and Ray McDonald, Lindon, has completed one station unit training (OSUT) at the U.S. Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, Ga. OSUT is a period which combines basic combat training and advanced individual training. The training included weapons qualifications, squad tactics, patrolling, landmine waiefare, field communications and combat operations. Completion of this course qualifies the soldier as a light-weapo- infantryman and as an indirect-fir- e crewman. Soldiers were taught to perform any of the duties in a rifle or mortar squad. He is a 1984 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School. Wade R. Snyder receives Eagle rank in special scout ceremonies Wade Russell Snyder, son of Russell K. and Donna D. Snyder received his Eagle Scout Award, Sunday, Jan. 24 at a special Pleasant Grove Twelfth Ward Court of Honor. He is the first Eagle Scout in the Pleasant Grove Twelfth Ward in over 10 years. Wade is 14. He is in 9th grade at Pleasant Grove Jr. High, He has served as Deacon's quorum president and is now ser- - ving as Teacher's quorum second counselor and secretary. He has served in many leadership positions in scouting, including Senior Patrol Leader. He is now serving as High Adventurer Team Manager in the Varsity Scouts. He likes to play baseball and soccer. He likes to hunt, fish, backpack, camp and hike. For his Eagle Project he painted tables, posts, guardrails, a bridge and bulletin board at the Riverside Wade K. hnyoer Picnic site in American Fork Canyon. |
