Angie Bronson was absent. jlonica's ?GHS table setting winners named jSix winners were chosen from 21 "jitries in the ZCMI Table Setting arontest held at Pleasant Grove High :hool Friday. These students will w enter the district contest at MI on March 12. jjThose whose table settings were dged best are David Welcker, ison Merryweather, Monica lftidge, Steffanie Smith, Angie Vonson and Jill Crismon. an: Selected as the popular vote inners were Shanna Hunt, first ace; JaLaine Humphrey, second ace; and Stacy Smith, third place. All students were eligible to enter and they could use any theme they wanted. The judges were headed by Erna Walker, coordinator for the high school table setting contests for ZCMI. Usually the judges only select one winner for every 15 entries but they said the quality of the PGHS settings warranted the selection of six. The winning entries will be on display at ZCMI in the University Mall the week of March 12. The public is invited to stop at ZCMI and vote on their favorite during the week of March 12 through 19. Each of the ;ix Ploasant Grove winners will receive a prize. If they win at the district level they will get a $1,000 set of china. A PGHS student won at the district level last year, according to Teresa Griffin, faculty advisor at PGHS. One of the boy winners had used a stuffed pheasant for his centerpiece and coordinated his setting around that. One of the girls selected a valentine theme which included bright red balloons, a teddy bear and red hearts.
