Show Open house to honor Edmund E. Homer on his 90th birthday iJ The children of Edmund E. and Daisy Homer will honor their father at an open house on his 90th birthday on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the home of Raymond W. and Olga J. Homer, 408 N. 700 East, Pleasant Grove. All friends and relatives are invited in-vited to attend. Edmund was born Oct. 7, 1897 in Rigby, Idaho. He graduated from high school in Burley and later served an LDS mission in Kansas. He later returned to Kansas where he married Daisy Brandon on Dec. 25, 1922. She had been born in Indian territory before it became Oklahoma. She had moved with her family to Kansas in 1918. After their marriage Edmund worked in Wichita, Kansas for the water company. They moved to Logan and later they moved to Lindon and finally to Pleasant Grove in 1941. Edmund retired from Dugway Proving Ground in 1965. Edmund likes to read in his spare time. It has been his favorite pasttime for a long time. Edmund and Daisy are the parents of eight children: Benjamin, Indiana; Marian David, Albuquerque, N. M.; Norman, Las Vegas; Raymond, Pleasant Grove; Richard, Tombstone, Ariz.; Mrs. Lynn (Gretta) Cook, LaVerkin; Leland, Magna; and Mrs. William (Kathleen) Morris, Salt Lake City. They have 35 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren. v Edmund E. Homer |
