Show Lady Vikes have winning season i After losing a close on on the road against Uintah on Tuesday, 48-43, the pleasant Grove Lady Vikings 1 came back strong to blow out j payson Thursday, 80-30, in the Viking gym-j gym-j Coach Mane Bone was able to i play everyone in the Payson game I and all players contributed to the victory. Led by the three seniors playing their last game before an enthusiastic home crowd, Jaylene Walker scored 21 points and had five assists. Leslie Tobler added 14 points and Michele Johnson had 9. The Viking team completely dominated. Erin Measom, junior center, chalked up 14 points and 14 rebounds. Kristine Larsen added 21 big rebounds to overpower the smaller Payson team inside. In the jayvee game, the ladies extended their record to 18-1 with victories over Uintah, 68-23, and Payson, 63-14. Coach Neresa Nielsen was able to utilize all 10 players, with every player scoring in both contests. They were led by Lisa Hall and Vikki Allred in double figures at Uintah and in the Payson game, Allred led the way with 14 points, including 12 in one quarter. Traci Williamson had 12 points and Joy Warner had 10. The Lady Vikings final region game was played Tuesday night at Spanish Fork. This should leave the Lady Vikings tied for third place going into the state tournament which will be played at East High School March 9-14. The Lady Vikes have a solid team and should do well at state. Jr. Varsity Lady Vikings include, back L-R, Coach Marie Bone, Pam Beagley, Traci Williamson, Joy Warner, Vikki Allred, Goach Neresa Nielsen.
