Show Traci Mills sparkles for swim team ; This year the swimming and diving team represented the school very well. Cindy Ellis started of the region meet with a great performance per-formance on the diving board. She placed third breaking the old school record with a score of 243. The next day was the swimming meet and the girls did well. Tracie Mills again dropped her 50 and 100 freestyle. Kim Lamoreaux qualified in the 200 and 100 freestyle to swim at state. The girls 400 freestyle relay team composed of Kim Lamoreaux, Radawn Oscarson, Lisa Mattinson and Tracie Mills also qualified for the state meet. The state meet was held last Friday and Saturday at BYU. Tracie Mills was the highlight of the team. She went into the state championships ranked 13th in both the 50 and 100. She exploded during the prelims and came back for the finals. During the finals she placed fourth in both her 50 freestyle with a time of 26.40. This broke her own school record by more than a second. On Saturday the same thing happened in the loo freestyle p did well in the prelims, came'k r for the finals and got anotherfo! S place medal. She became the t girl in Pleasant Grove's histor;. t break the one minute mark in'fc nc 100 free. She swam a 58.07. Kim Lamoreaux also did wfr tl the 200 and 100 free. The fres' 1 relay team also broke aw': ' record. The team composed of in Lamoreaux, Radawn Oscarson Th Mattinson and Tracie Mills sc tin 4:26 which broke the old recorit, rig seconds.
