The ' leading scorer for the game for Tri-L Tri-L was Ken Robinson with 19 points. Greg Denning made 11. Mark Hardman made 18 points for Christensen's, with Dave Farn-sworth Farn-sworth making 12. Hal's Automotive ran past Kelley's Plumbing in the second quarter of their game, and stayed ahead for the rest of the game, beating them 64 to 49. Kelley's led in the first quarter, 10 to 6. Suddenly, some hot shooting by Hal's Brett Campbell pulled them ahead, 21 to 17. Cory Johansson made some great strides for Hal's in the third quarter, making three 3-pointers right in a row. Johansson was the leading scorer for the game with 22 total points, with Brent Larson making 14 for Hal's. Top scorer for Kelley's was Kay Swenson with 12 and Randy Peterson with 11. Southam & Warburton ran over Skyline Industries in the game on Tuesday night. Top scorer for Skyline was Lynn Highman with 25 points. Timp Lumber barely beat Prestwich's Beanry in a great game on Tuesday night. The Beanry led in the first three quarters, 43 to 38. Then, some great, balanced scoring from Timp Industries, combined with their defense, helped them to win the game. Top scorer for Timp was Danny Nuttall with 16 points, four of which were three-pointers. John White made 14 points. Justin Bone made 22 points for The beanry, making 6 of his seven foul shots in the fourth quarter. Terry Peterson made 13 points. Another really close game on Tuesday night was between Keystone Motors and Interwest Nail & Staple. Keystone won the game, 70 to 66. Interwest led the first half, 38 to 36, but then Kent Barry made some great shots, and pulled Keystone ahead. Barry was leading scorer with 24 points. Mike Staffieri made 16 points. Interwest's John Collins made 23 points, with Wayne Barney making 20. The men's tournament will split into three brackets, with games having started on Monday, March 2. More information as to the winners of each bracket will follow in next week's paper.
