Arnette Mingl, has just returned from the Nashville, Tennessee Mmshomecoming will be Sunday, March 8, at 2:30 p.m. at the Manila First Ward, 3986 W. 8800 N., Pleasant Grove. All friends and relatives are in-vited to attend. While on his mission Andy learned to love the south and its hospitality. He served as a trainer, district leader and zone leader during his mission. Larson to report on mission Elder Scott H. Larson, son of Keith and Nora Larson, will report on his recently completed mission on Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove 18th Ward, 1250 E. 200 South. Elder Larson has returned from the Ohio Cleveland LDS Mission. He served as a district and zone leader while on his mission. All friends and relatives are in-vited to hear his report. astowww. Keith and Janice Brown, Pleasant Grove, has been released from the Por-tland, Oregon Mission. He will speak in a sacrament meeting Sunday, March 8, at 11:30 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove 5th Ward, 275 K. 500 South. All friends and relatives are in-vited to attend. O. James Brown " I ' sv" . i I Assisting with the FIIA fundraiser during Valentine's at Pleasant Grove High School were officers, Kim Chipman, Kim Johnson, Jennifer Hancock, Angela Bronson and advisor Joan Smith. The proceeds were donated to the March of Dimes campaign. FHA donates to March of Dimes The Pleasant Grove High School Chapter of Future Homemakers of America has donated $100 to the March of Dimes as a result of the annual Valentines sales held at the school. The FHA sold heart-shape- d cookies and carnations as their project. Many hours were snent bv FHA members in making the Valentine's Day sales a success. The FHA officers in charge of this project were Kim Chipman, Junior President; Kim Johnson, Student-bod- y Representative; Jennifer Hancock, Families and Futures; Angela Bronson, Assembly Chairman; and Claire Woodard, Historian. Joan Smith is the faculty advisor to the group. Every year the FHA makes the cookies for sale and sells the car-nations as their contribution to the March of Dimes. The FHA delivers the cookies and flowers during school hours at Valentines time. Local students to participate in band Two students from Pleasant Grove High School are part of the 125 students invited to participate in College of Eastern Utah's Senior Honor Band and Choir on March 7 in Price. The combined group will present a community concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, at the Geary Theatre. The band students invited to attend are Matt Ash, euphoniam; and Warren Wakamatsu, euphoniam. The concert is being sponsored by the CEU music department to feature outstanding musicians from 12 Utah high schools. This is the 14th year CEU has sponsored the event, which is organized to promote good musicianship and brotherhood between CEU and surrounding area high schools. There is no charge for the con-cert.
