Wimmer, American Fork, will marry Kelly LaMar Memmott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Memmott, Pleasant Grove, Friday, June 13, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the American Fork North Stake Center, 975 N. 60 East. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Maid of honor will be Lori Bone, with Laurie and Paula Memmott as bridal attendants. Best men will be Jeff Jackson and Shane Memmott, with Scott Kohler, Kreg Gillman, Steven and Michael Wimmer was attendants. Pre-nupti- showers for the bride were given by Betty, Laurie and Paula Memmott; Lana Jardine, Nina Larsen, Joan Quilter and Susan Miller; and Karen and Jocelyn Wimmer. The bride-elec- t graduated from American Fork High School and LESS Seminary. She is currently attending BYU and is a member of Theatre Ballet and undergraduate faculty. She is also ballet coor-dinator for the Stars Studio. Her fiance graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary. He served an LDS mission to Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is currently attending Utah Technical College and is employed as a brick mason and taxidermist. The couple will live in Pleasant Grove.. The couple will exchange vows in the Provo LDS Temple Friday, June 13. A reception will be held that same eveni ng from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Lindon 1st Ward Cultural Hall, 25 North' Main. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Attending the bride will be Pat and Penr-'- Facey and Janette Kirkham,.- Best man duties will be per-formed by Richard Johnson, with Terry Welch and Jonathan Chidester serving as ushers. The bride-to-b- e is a graduate of Riverdale High School in Georgia and lived for 11 years in Heidelberg while her father served in the military. The groom graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary. He recently returned from serving an LDS mission in Barcelona, Spain. The couple will make their first home in Orem. Tammy Ramsey David Chidester Christine Lewis to wed Mark R. Saunders in Temple , Christine Lewis, daughter of Mr. ' and Mrs. John S. Lewis, Pleasant Grove, will marry Mark R. Saun-ders, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Saunders, Spring Lake, Satur-day, June 14, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lewis home. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Bridal attendants are Sara Lewis, Lori Harrison, Janine Beveridge, Melanie Griffin and Diane Saun-ders. Best man will be Allen Saunders. A bridal shower was hosted by Mrs. Richard Saunders at the E.E. Butterfield residence. The bride-ele- will graduate from Utah State University this summer in the College of Business with a degree in Administrative Systems. Her fiance served an LDS mission to Korea. He also attends Utah State University and is currently employed in Logan. The couple will reside in Logan. Christine Lewis Mark R. Saunders Open house to honor Alice Anderson on 80th birthday If t HZ' r The family of Alice Jenkins Anderson are honoring her at an open house in celebration of her 80lh birthday, Wednesday, June 18, at the home of her son, Don and Ruby Anderson, 148 N. 300 East, Pleasant Grove, from 4 to 8 p.m. All friends and relatives are in-vited. . Alice was born June 18, 1906, to Arthur and Grace Moss Jenkins in Magna. She married Charles C. Anderson on Sept. 2, 1924. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Lehi, Orem, Pleasant Grove, Salt Lake City, Idaho and California. They moved back to Pleasant Grove in 1953 and she has lived there since. Her husband passed away in 1972. Mrs. Anderson has three sons, Glen Anderson, Orem; Don An-derson, Pleasant Grove; and Gary Anderson, San Bernardino, Calif. She has 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Alice J. Eldon and Erma ; Jarman Swenson will honor their parents at an open house Saturday, June 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. It will be their 60th wedding ; anniversary and the celebration will be held at the Windsor Stake House, 1674 North 200 West. Swenson PGHS Class of 1976 to hold reunion June 21 The Pleasant Grove High School Class of 1976 will hold a 10 year reunion on Saturday, June. 21. The group will meet with their families for a picnic at Windsor Park in Orem fr6m noon to 5 p.m. At 7 p.m. they will meet with iust spouses or dates at Sil's Ivy Tower Restaurant in Provo for dinner. If you are a class member and have not been notified, please contact Larry Fugal at 785-141- 6 or Mike Walker at DUP to hold bake sale One of the features of Strawberry Days will again be the annual bazaar and bake sale sponsored by the D.U.P. Camps of Pleasant - Grove and Manila. Ladies of the camps are hard at work preparing for the sale and will be on the grounds of the D.U.P. Museum with their sale ready at 9 a.m., and will continue until sold out. The D.U.P. and Strawberry Days officials also announce that the museum will be open for tours from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be guides present to give information and answer questions. |
