A great grandson of Daniel S. Thomas, one of north Utah County's early pioneer leaders, is preparing a history of his ancestor for publication. E. Kay Kirkam, Salt Lake City, said his book will include several interesting documents from the Thomas family history, such as a reprint of a 1927 booklet about the pioneer by Martha Paine Jones Thomas, Thomas's account of the Battle of Crooked River as written by his own hand, copies of the Revolutionary War record of Henry Thomas, and a Thomas-Jone- s family pedigree with family group sheets. hello world Babies born in Am. Brown, age 79, of Lehi, died March 18, 1985 in the American Fork Hos-pital following a long illness. She was born October 6, 1905 in Holton, Michigan, to Fred and Evelynia Williams Scown. She married Merton Blaine Brown, December 22, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died October 10, 1978. She formerly resided in Wendover where she was very active in community affairs. She later moved to Lehi. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church. She is survived by four sons and five Smith, Logan; 21 grandchildren; a sister and brother: Helen Pierce, Provo; Ralph Smith, Magna. Services were Saturday, March 16, at the Midvale LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Leslie Frank Smith, 78, died Thursday, March 14, 1985, from cancer. He was born April 27, 1906, in Pleasant Grove to Fredrick and Anna Johanna Christiansen Smith. He married Hattie Elnora Cranney Dec. 18, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an Eagle Scout. He served a West Jordan LDS Stake Mission. He worked with minority groups in the LDS Church. He is survived by his wife of Midvale; sons and daughter: Fredrick W. Smith, Vernal; Deborah Smith, Mid-vale; L. Frank Smith Jr., Sandy; and H. King daughters: Fred Brown, Burleson, Tex.; Jerried Brown, Brownsvalley, Calif; Jay Brown, Cumber-land, Ken.; Lloyd Brown, Wendover; Madge Stephenson, Steven VV. Hansen Hansen, Plymouth, Ind.; and Betty G. Hansen, Pleasant Grove; two brothers: John Hansen, Springville; and Daniel L. Hansen Jr., Knox, Ind. Services were Tuesday, March 19, at Berg Mortuary in Orem. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Steven Waynt Hansen, 26, Pleasanl Grove, died Wed nesday, March 13, 198e at Utah Valley Regiona' Medical Center ir Provo from injuries received in ar automobile accident. He was born Nov. 5 1958 in Knox, Ind., tc Betty C. Brady and Daniel LeRoy Hansen. He was a welder. : He was educated in Knox, Ind., and moved - to Pleasant Grove in July 1984. He was I employed at Ostler's l Rocky Mountain ; Refactory in Lindon l and enjoyed mechanics and automobiles. He is survived by two daughters: Gwendolyn i Hansen and Sherry I Hansen, both of North Judson, Ind.; his parents: Daniel L. Elma M. Shosted brothers, Wjlard Monson, Pleasant Grove; Verdun Monson, Elko, Nev.; two sisters, Hazel Madden. Elko, Nev.; Annie Thayne, Pleasant Grove. Funeral services were Thursday, March 14, at Redwood Memorial Estate Chapel. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Elma Monson Shosted, 63, passed away March 11, 1985 in American Fork. She was born Oct. 29. 1921 in Pleasant Grove, to Marlin and Amie Edith Holman Monson. She married Kenneth F. Shosted, March 7, 1975 in American Fork. She was a member of the LDS Church and served as MIA president for many years. She sang with the American Fork Civic Choir and wrote poetry.
