She was born July 30, 1915 in Seattle, Wash., a daughter of Edwin and Ethel Frankhauser Orcutt. She married Frederick Hoopes in 1934 in San Francisco. He died in 1943. She married Elery Melvin Ward March 23, 1946 in California. She spent her childhood days in the San Francisco area and attended schools there. She was born March 22, 1918 in Central, Utah, the daughter of James Christen and Ada Christine Robinson Sorenson. She married Glen Warren Thurston Sept. 1, 1942 in e, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She married Delamar B. Hair April 1, 1983 in the Provo LDS Temple. She was a nurse's aide at the state training school for 17 years, worked at a turkey processing plant and was a waitress. She was a Pink Lady at the American Fork and Utah Valley Hospitals. She was an active temple worker and was active in the LDS Church. She played member ofthe PTA and had worked with the heart association. Survivors include her husband of Orem; three with the American Fork Senior Citizens Band. She is survived by her husband of Provo; one son and five daughters: Kalvin W. Thurston, Mrs. Dale (Naioma) De Bolt; Mrs. David (Frances) Watson; Mrs. Robert W. (Norene) Johnson; Mrs. William W. (Kris Glenda) Perry, all of American Fork; Mrs. Rodney (Charline). Cyril F. Walker, 71, Provo, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1985 at his home. He was born July 7, 1914 in Pleasant Grove, a son of Joseph S. and Idella Fage Walker. He married Raisa Veone Weeter April 3, 1939 in Las Vegas. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member ofthe LDS Church holding the office of High Priest in the Provo 17th Ward. He had worked with scouts ' and youth. He had held the office of Major in the American Fork Civil Air Patrol, having been a pilot since the age of 17. He had been em-ployed as supervisor of Work Equipment for the Rio Grande Western Railroad. He was owner and operator of Walker Construction Co. of Lindon. He is survived by his wife of Provo; three sons and two daughters: Otho J. Walker, Myron G. Paddock, Jesse Kallbacka and Lyman Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Warren Wheeler, Elvin Snyder, James Bird, Auer Jensen, Clark Carter, Clyde Johnson, Michael Dunn, Samuel Walker, Lance Christensen, Clyde Pyper, Blaine Snyder, Roy Ash, Steven Gordon and Dennis Nelson. The family prayer was by Myron Walker. The prelude and postlude were played by Elaine Strunk. The invocation was by Blaine Snyder. The life sketch was by Cody Walker. Glen and Elaine Ellis sang "Oh My Father," ac-companied by Marjorie Harward. Melvin Mellor was a speaker and remarks were given by Bishop Glenn. Marjorie Harward sang "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose," ac-companied by Ellen Morrill. The benediction was by Bert Ostler and the grave was dedicated by Otho J. Walker. Donald F. Healey Flora Mae B. Reynolds Walker, Veone C. Kallbacka, all of Orem; Jeris L. Paddock, Huber Heights, Ohio; Cody S. Walker, American Fork; 19 grandchildren; a brother and a sister: Wesley J. Walker, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Ira (Thelma) Christensen, Sandy. Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Provo 17th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Steven Glenn. Pallbearers were Otho Walker, Myron Walker, Cody Walker, Michael Donald Frank Healey, 45, died Nov. 4, 1985 in Heber City. He was born June 20, 1940 in Lehi, the son of Harold and Vaudas Beatrice Omer Healey. He married Gloria Faye Carter Feb. 13, 1959. The marriage was later solemnized in the ' Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served in the U.S. Navy between 1959 and 1962. He was employed by the Lark Mines for 10 years and Turner Building Supply for 13 years. He was a truck driver for W.F. Hatch He is survived by his. wife, Heber; three sons and one daughter: Donald F. Jr., Salt Lake City; Savonnah, Douglas James, Harold Austin, all of Heber; his parents, Alpine; two grandchildren; five brothers: Karl G., Lehi; Game O. and J. Martell, both of Orem; Paul R., Heber; Leon W., Magna. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Heber 4th Ward. Burial will be in the Alpine City Cemetery. Flora Mae Barratt Reynolds, 57, of Lehi, died Friday, Nov. 1, 1985 at a Provo hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1928 in American Fork to Donald and Harriet Martha Zimmerman Barratt. She married George Hatch Reynolds in American Fork Feb. 15, 1951. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was active in the Lehi Sixth Ward and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Survivors include her husband; two daughters and three sons: Mrs. Jeff (Lynne) Lind-stro- Cedar Hills; George B. Reynolds, Provo; Corey V. Reynolds, Santa Bar s' bara, Calif.; Leslie I Reynolds and Clark ' Reynolds, both of Lehi 14 grandchildren; her mother of American Fork; one brother: James Donald Barratt American Fork. ' Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Lehi Sixth Ward. Burial ' was in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Company. He served as Sunday School superintendent in Lark and was an Elder in the Heber 4th Ward. Milton H. Vandeburgh ill Milton H. Van-deburgh, 81, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1985 in American Fork. He was born Feb. 3, 1904 in White Bird, Idaho to Peter and Viola Johnson Van-deburgh. He married Luella E. Olsen on June 19, 1926 in Susanville, Calif. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She died July 27, 1977. He married Elmina Helquist on Oct. 24, 1978 in Provo. He worked as a Lumber Grader and at Geneva Steel. He was a member of the LDS Church serving as High Priest, temple worker in Provo and Oakland LDS Temples, branch president in Susanville, Calif., and served two stake missions. Survivors include his wife of Spanish Fork; two daughters: Mrs. was in the Oroville, Calif. Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Wayne S. Winters. Honorary casket bearers were Jack Wagstaff, David Wagstaff, Richard Wagstaff, Gary Wagstaff, R. Bruce Wagstaff and Kevin Gardner. The family prayer was by Catherine Wagstaff. Burial I Notice of Special Election TO ALL QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CENTRAL UTAH WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT, STATE OF UTAH Take notice that on the 19th day of November, 1985, a special election will be held in the Central Utah Water Conservancy District, State of Utah, at the voting places set out below for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said district the following proposition: PROPOSITION Shall the Central Utah Water Conservancy District (the "District") enter into a Supplemental Repayment Contract with the United States of America for the continued construction of the Central Utah Project Bonneville Unit and the acquisition of a municipal and industrial water supply for the District, at an additional reimbursable cost to the District of not to exceed $335,000,000, plus ten percent thereof (33,500,000) for certain cost increases, for a total of not to exceed $368,500,000, (which sum is in addition to a present repayment obligation allocated to municipal and industrial water use of $140,408,000 commit fed; and authorized under the original Repayment Contract executed Dec'etaber 28, 1965, and is also in addition to the payment of $10,000,000, which payment has been heretofore made by the District to the United States in connection with the Jordan and Alpine Aqueduct systems, and is in addition to sixty-si- x percent of the cost of the Jordan Aqueduct which was included in the 1965 Repayment Contract, but which has now been assumed by others), repayable over the installment period provided for under present Federal Reclamation law, but, in no event, in excess of 50 years, with interest at a rate to be established pursuant to the provisions of Section 5(f) of the Act of Congress approved April 11, 1956 (70 Stat. 105), as amended by the Act of Congress approved June 27, 1960, (74 Stat. 227), not to exceed 3.222 percent per annum, and with a charge on delinquencies at a rate equal to not less than one-ha- lf percent 02) per month, all in accordance with the terms and conditions of the draft of the Supplemental Repayment Contract referred to in the Resolution by which this election is called?
