Show American Fork Hospital holds 'Kangaroo Hop' sibling class The "Kangaroo Hop" is a popular community service at American Fork Hospital. The next "Hop" will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the hospital. The aim of the "birthday party" is to help children of expectant parents feel more at ease with the mother's impending hospital stay. The party includes a demonstration of the admission process and a tour of the labor, delivery and nursery areas. A room where mommy might stay is viewed. It is explained that children can visit mommy and the new baby each day at special times and that they can talk to their mommy on the phone at anytime. Children receive balloons, certificates cer-tificates and refreshments at the party. Expectant parents and their children are invited free of charge. Interested families should pre-register pre-register by calling American Fork Hospital, 756-6001. |
