She handled the situation when her dress unzipped accidently during a romantic scene with Emile in a most humorous manner which gave the audience a chuckle and relieved the tension she undoubtedly was feeling. Audra Moss directs this production of "South Pacific." Other cast members include Kuinise V. Matagi as Henry, Charlene Lui as Bloody Mary, Maria Fonoimoana as Liat, Keith Haines as Capt. A CAST OF 10 students play some 60 characters in a series of vignettes taking place in "The Dining Room,' a campus-communit- y production scheduled April 17 through 21 at Southern Utah State College. Cast members in-clude L-- Janeen Samplowski, Las Vegas, Nev., and Gayliene Crawford, Highland. By MARCELLA WALKER The final performances of "South Pacific", now playing at the Alhambra Theater in Pleasant Grove will be Friday, Saturday and Monday, April 13, 14 and 16, with shows beginning at 8 p.m. This production of the delightful Rodgers and Hammerstein musical is highlighted by the performances of The Happy Polynesians directed by Juinise V. Matagi. Certainly, the appearances in the production of these Polynesian people adds to the atmosphere of the show. The Polynesian boy and girl who played the children of Emile deBecque were as cute as they could be and contributed charm to the scenes they were in. The beautiful score of "South Pacific" is always to be enjoyed by the fans of Rodgers and Hammerstein and this is no exception. John Hansen, who plays Lt. Joseph Cable in the production, has a beautiful trained operatic voice. It is almost too bad, in this instance, that Lt. Cable doesn't have more songs to sing. Familiar to local folk is Reed A. Prestgard, a noted performer, but also a former teacher at Valley View School here in Pleasant Grove. His former students enjoyed seeing him perform. After seeing the humorous portrayal of Luther Billis by Kevin Joel Moss it is easy to understand why he received an acting award at the Utah County Theater Guild awards night last month. A total of six savings bonds will be awarded to the cutest boys and girls in three age categories: months; 12-2- 4 months; and 25-3- 6 months. Judges from the com-munity and local newspapers and radio stations will choose the winners. To enter, send your one dollar donation and a picture of your child no smaller than 2" x 3" and no larger than 8" x 10". On the back, write your child's full name, age, sex, address and telephone number. If you want the photo returned, also send a stamped envelope. Photos must be received by Monday, April 16, at 5 p.m., and winners will be notified by Friday, April 20. Mail or bring your entry to Utah Valley Hospital, Public Relations Department, 1034 North 500 West, Provo, 84603. Call Public Relations at ext. 2107 for more information. Utah Valley Hospital currently rents about 175 infant car seats for a period, with a $5 rebate for seats returned in good condition. But because the service is so popular, new parents have had to wait as long as two months for available seats. The photo contest will bring money to buy more seats and keep more children safe on the road.
