Knowingly gives or causes to be given information in-formation to any law enforcement officer concerning the commission com-mission of an offense, knowing that the offense of-fense did not occur or knowing that he has no information relating to the offense or danger. 17. FALSE NAME OR ADDRESS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. OF-FICER. A person commits a Class "C" Misdemeanor if with intent of misleading a law enforcement officer as to his identity, he knowingly gives a false name or address to a law enforcement officer in the lawful discharge of his official duties. 2. SEVERABILITY. The provisions of this ordinance are severable. Section 3. DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY AND EFFECTIVE DATE: In the opinion of the Citv Council of Pleasant Grove City it is necessary for the preservation of the peace, welfare, health and safety of the inhabitants of Pleasant Grove" City that this Ordinance take effect immediately upon its passage and posting in three public places as provided by law for the reason that an emergency exists in that the enforcement of City policies is dependent upon the enactment of this Ordinance Or-dinance which is intended in-tended to safeguard the health and welfare of the residents of Pleasant Grove City. Therefore, this Ordinance Or-dinance shall take effect ef-fect immediately upon its passage and first publication as provided by law.
