He had nothing but high praise for her contribution there. Conspicuously absent was what was once the traditional queen robe. Now might be a good time to place it and photos of past royalty in the city hall for all to share, lest it be lost as too much of our history has. I would like to take the time to examine the recent session of the Utah Legislature and particularly the new child restraint bill but it will have to wait a week or two. Pleasant Grove residents have more important tilings to attend to just now. We need to find a good candidate for the Alpine District board of Education to replace Dan Fugal. Come next January Dan will have finished his second term on the Alpine Board of Education. During that time he presided as president of the board and helped guide the district through some of its most turbulant years. During that time Dan tells me that he has gained a profound respect for the people involved in education. His voice has been one of reason amid a flury of controversy. He has followed in the fine tradition of the Fugal family in giving unselfish service for the clear benefit of those he was elected to serve. Certainly there must be someone in the Pleasant Grove area who has these same qualities and is willing to serve for the betterment of the children of Pleasant Grove. Little else affects us more than the quality of schools where our children are educated. like city government actions school board actions are what really make the difference in ultimately affecting the children in our area. Sure, federal and state educational policy affects us but not nearly as much as the votes that are made every two weeks by the board of education. The filing deadline is June 27. There is no filing fee. While Dan still has nine months to go I don't think it would be out of line to say thanks and good luck for the next nine months. tt 3nf , ; yF K "zF r? ' ' v ' t '? THIS MT. Hell trencher that went out of control last Tuesday and hit a house at 250 N. 1400' East in Pleasant Grove gouged a gaping hole in the side of the structure. The home is owned by Gregory Wilder. Allen Lee Alispach, Springville, driver of the trencher said he was driving the trencher around the Wilder property on a sharp incline when the vehicle popped out of gear and he couldn't get it to go back into gear. He tried turning off the engine and restarting to get it into gear and that didn't work either. By this time the trencher had picked up considerable speed, and the brakes then failed. When he realized he could not stop the trencher he released his safety belt and jumped to safety before it struck the house. Damage to the house was set at $5,000. No one was injured. None of the Wilder family was at home at the time of the accident. Mr. Alispach escaped without injury. Officer Mike Blackhurst investigated the accident. Because of my illness became unable to work, suffered severe depression most of the time. I had no energy, was always tired. My diabetes was out of control and spent a lot of time in the hospital. A specialist had me on a 400 to 500 calorie a day diet to lose weight fast, to better control my diabetes. I lost weight but also suffered from gout, potassium loss, loss of hair, deeper and deeper depression and everything else that comes from poor nutrition. Then when I was put back on the normal 1000 to 1200 calorie diabetic diet I gained weight. I lived in a constant state of starvation or guilt. It had consumed my life. I had reached a point of total desperation and giving up when I found this diet. I was skeptical at first but also desperate. I couldn't believe could actually eat all the food on this diet and lose weight. But it works! I've lost 25 pounds and my life is totally turned around. My insulin has been cut in half, my diabetes is under control. I no longer suffer depression and I still can't believe my energy level. I'm happy! My doctor is happy! My family and friends are thrilled. The 25 pounds I've lost is just a bonus compared to the health I've gained. And feel like I am being introduced to an old friend - my former self. I still have some weight to lose but I don't worry about it anymore because I know can continue to lose weight and eat more than I've ever eaten in my life with no more guilt trips. This program is not just a diet,, it's a way of life. GAYE DEAMER HORSLEY's miraculous dieting program literally saved my life. m IIIWI y HIIII II' llll I Ill lMfcimJt je Pleasant Grove Residents I ? 14 Ch&Miel - JustW : We'll Give You A Full Month Of Movies, Sports, Specials, News, And Entertainment You Can't Get H Anyplace Else.
