Show Posters adorn halls as students campaign for offices at P.G.H.S. By JERI SUE FRYER The school year has gone by so fast and it's hard to believe that elections have come up so quick. As most people know, Pleasant Grove High School held the primaries last week and have divided the campaigners into two groups; the Blue Party and the White Party. Representing the White Party (also known as the Detectives) this year will be ... Jay Christensen as president, Julie Brown as vice-president, vice-president, Stacey Clements for secretary, Dianne Bezzant running for finance, Suzanne Stirling for academics, Melissa Bennett is going for spirit, Jodi Bethers wants to be public relations, and Kyle Johnson as special events. The Blue Party will also be known as the Army, they are there to help YOU. For president is David Williams who feels he is qualified, Almy Hollis would like to be vice-president, vice-president, Becky Ellis for secretary, Shellie Eggett as finance, James Oliphant is going for academics, Lisa Jones is running for spirit, Ellen Lloyd is campaigning for public relations, and Laurie Ostler as special events. The campaigning has been going strong this year, and it will be fun to see who wins at the Elections Dance this Friday, the 13th. The dance starts at 8:30 p.m. and the winners will be announced sometime that night. Good luck to ALL. |
