An-derson of 4033 W. Juniper Road, Pleasant Grove, has completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. During the training cycle, Doering was taught the basics of battlefield survival. He was in-troduced to the typical daily routine that he will experience during his enlistment and studied the personal and professional standards traditionally exhibited by Marines. He participated in an active physical conditioning program and gained proficiency in a variety of military skills, including first aid, rifle marksmanship and close order drill. Teamwork and were emphasized throughout the training cycle. Photo by John Hill. y Wendy Turner Wendy Turner honored on job Mark Ray Davis, Executive Vice President of Eagle Marketing Corporation of Provo, introduced the "Employee of the Quarter" today. Wendy Turner, originally of Pleasant Grove, a key Ad-ministrative Assistant in the firm, was chosen for her outstanding contribution to the company. Ms. Turner is supervisor of the Sales Support staff at Eagle Marketing. She has been selected as Outstanding Business Student of the Year at Pleasant Grove High School, 1980-8- That same year, she was honored s as an outstanding business student by the Timp Valley Chapter of Professional Secretaries In-ternational. A Snow College scholarship recipient, Wendy Turner was selected as an out-standing employee for the Alpine Credit Union in 1982. Ms. Turner, who has worked for Eagle Marketing in Provo and Dallas, Tex., was presented with this honor at the Eagle Systems corporate luncheon. XVv Little Mt. Grapplers to register The club is nationally registered with USA Wrestling and affiliated with the Pleasant Grove City Recreation. Registration will be held Thur-sday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Recreation Center for boys who plan to join the Little Mountain Grapplers this year. Parents are asked to register each boy. The club is involved in intense competitive wrestling on a state level and requires two years of wrestling experience. (Pleasant Grove City Recreation wrestling is just the ticket to get this experience, club leaders said.) The registration cost if $15. Those parents with more than one son registering should know that reduced rates of $12 for the second boy and $10 for each additional boy are allowed. The program is family oriented and they like to have the whole family involved in the program. The parents' support is appreciated. A short meeting will be held the same time as registration.
