They were in charge of the annual event Third graders complete 28 quilts It is quilting time again in Jack Freeman's third grade class at Central Elementary School in Pleasant Grove. Each year the students in Mr. Freeman's class each make a quilt. This year 28 quilts have been made. The children help each other and tie the quilts which are spread out on the classroom floor a few at a time. These quilts will be on display 'Nov. 19 through Nov. 30 at Christensen's Department Store in Pleasant Grove. Each child chooses his own fabric for the project. Mr. Freeman has had his students do this project for seven years now. Over 200 quilts have been made over the years. The children will make another quilt which will be given to an elderly shut-i- n to show appreciation for their pioneer heritage. This quilt will be presented sometime in December. The children submit names of elderly persons and from these the one to receive the quilt is selected. The quilting experience, enjoyed by boys as well as girls, results in a nice quilt which the children can keep for always to remember their third grade year. Pleasant Grove to sell property Pleasant Grove City will sell at public auction a piece of property in the Crystal View Estates subdivision on Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. at the west front entrance to the Utah County Courthouse. A Special Improvement District was approved by the property owners to put curb, gutter and asphalt paving on the street through the subdivision. The city is selling the property and will apply the proceeds from the sale of the property toward paying its share of these improvements. The city acquired the property as part of a bond set up by the original developers of the property. The land was held to insure that the im-provements would be put in or the city would sell the land to assist in placing the improvements in the subdivision. Following lengthy negotiations the property was finally approved for sale. AIRPLANE!
