Show Evan Baugh to head Alpine Foundation i i Evan A. Baugh, a retired Alpine District educator and a resident of Orem, has been elected as president of the Alpine Foundation. The election of Baugh as president took place last week with a vote of the Foundation's Board of Directors. The Alpine Foundation is a newly established organization which operates under the authority of the Alpine District Board of Education ; its function is to solicit and accept private donations to the local public school system. Baugh graduated from Utah State University in 1942 and since that time has spent 36 years in the public, school setting, both as a teacher and as a school principal. After teaching in Idaho for two years he came to the Alpine School District where he taught for 17 years as a junior high principal, first at Lincoln and then at Lakeridge. He also completed a Masters Degree from USU in Physical Education and School Ad ministration during the period. He is past president of both the Utah Association of Secondary. School Principals and the Administrators Ad-ministrators Department of the Utah Education Association. He has also served as president of the Orem Kiwanis Club. Baugh retired from education in 1980. Evan and his wife Clara are the parents of five children and 26 grandchildren. |
