Show Street lights, sewer extension top Cedar Hills council agenda A sewer extension, installation of ! streetlights and condemnation proceedings to extend Cedar Hills ! Drive were the top agenda items at ! the Cedar Hills Town Council ! meeting held Nov. 14. I Funding arrangements for a half-I half-I mile extension of the town's sewer system, which will then be hooked ; up to the American Fork system, is virtually complete, according to a report by Mayor Max Adams. Prudential Federal Savings and Loan, a major developer in Cedar Hills, has guaranteed $92,000 of the cost; the town of Cedar Hills will contribute $45,000; and a govern-. govern-. sent . block grant. . wUJ pay tho remaining $70,000 toward completion com-pletion of the sewer system. The installation of streetlights at major intersections throughout the community was unanimously approved ap-proved by Mayor. Adams and councilmen Marcus Memmott, Greg Harris, Don MacPherson and Steve Wood. Councilman MacPherson reported that Utah Power and Light will install the lights and that the city's only cost will be for the electricity used. American Fork Training School road was proposed, and the Council authorized Mayor Adams to begin condemnation proceedings for a right-of-way through the property where the road will pass. Mayor Adams described the extension of Cedar Hills Drive as being vitally important - to the growth and commerce of Cedar Hills and noted that it would provide a new, ready access route to American Fork and make the area more attractive to businessmen and developers.
