Show Wasatch Auto Expo at Tech are joint managers for Cottontree Inn and residents of Provo. Other events at the Wasatch Auto Expo will include: hot-air balloon rides, hourly entertainment, drawing prizes, free kiddie movies, concessions, an antique toy exhibit, swap meet and antique fashion show. Owners of fine cars from throughout Utah are dusting off and repainting their choice entries for Utah Technical College at Provo-Orem's Provo-Orem's Wasatch Auto Expo, to be held August 18. The open-class car show will include automobiles ranging from antiques to street rods and because of the high entry criteria, only the best cars will be admitted. Photographic plaques of each car will be provided as trophies for all admitted cars. In addition, three other trophies will be awarded: the "Best of Show," with $250 provided by John Price; a "People's Choice," which will be a $1,200 tool box provided by Snap-On-Tools; and an '.'Excellence in Restoration," an award presented by the Great Basin 1 Touring Society. One owner planning to participate ' in the Expo is Jeff Richardson who 1 owns a '78 Limited Edition Corvette ( pace car, a prototype of the pace car used exclusively in the 1978 Indianapolis 500. Richardson en- s tered his Corvette in the Salt Lake Concourse for four years and has ranked as high as 98 points during judging. During the recent July 4th Provo Freedom Festival parade, Richardson's Corvette carried Miss Utah and has also been used by the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds. Richardson and his wife, Karen, |
